What is a Queenager?
A Queenager is a woman typically in her 40s, 50s, or beyond who is vibrant, and embraces life with confidence, self-awareness, and purpose and follows her passions. Rather than seeing age as a limitation, a Queenager views this stage of life as a powerful reinvention: drawing on wisdom gained from lived experience, emotional strength, freedom and independence. She prioritises personal growth, meaningful experiences (often travel, wellness, or creativity), and living life to the fullest on her own terms through new
adventures.
Meet the Founder
I’ve loved travel for as long as I can remember—the thrill of take-off, engines roaring, that little rush of excitement. Holidays were always a priority, first as a young woman and later as a family.
In 2021, my life shifted. Newly single in my 50s, I flew back to the UK to see family and friends after a decade of making a home in beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand. I was daunted—excited, too—about going solo. That first trip became part of my healing journey.
On the way home, a memorable New York stopover lit the spark again. I landed already planning the next adventure.
Months later, I set off for eight weeks in Europe. I loved every minute—but the real highlight was the women I met: locals and fellow travellers eager to swap tips, share stories, and say “yes” to spontaneous moments together. Those conversations stayed with me.
After more journeys across Europe and Asia, the idea for Queenager On The Loose took shape: Small, welcoming groups where women 40+ can connect, explore exciting destinations, create lasting friendships and experience life changing adventures.
Travel has given me more than I imagined—strength, perspective, and a bigger circle of kindred spirits. It empowered me to see how strong I really am, and now my purpose is to inspire other women to step out of their comfort zones and share experiences that stay with them for life.
